re: Nelly Hit Up Seattle Live

I think Christian covered the show VERY well! Nelly and the band members compliment each other, making it seem that they've been playing together for a long time. I highly recommend that EVERYONE go to a Nelly show! She puts so much feeling into each song. Through facial expressions, body movements, and vocal expertise, Nelly lets the audience know that the lyrics aren't just words, but, that they actually have meaning to her. The band and back up singers were even fun to watch. Great job to the whole band! (Includes singers too.)

For the males, she is extremely easy on the eyes! Last night, I had to smile at the way some of the comments made by the guys around me... "She's gorgeous, AND she can sing!", "I wonder what Nelly does after shows." "I could listen to her sing forever, especially now that I've seen her." "I wonder if she's available?" All I can say is, Watch out Nelly!

As you can tell, I did get to the show, but, was a few minutes late (I hate getting lost!). The drive over the mountains, and through the woods wasn't bad at all. I'd do it again to see her. (So, why, am I NOT on my way to Portland?) I would have been at the Portland show if I hadn't been traveling so much lately. After last nights show, Nelly spent time talking to fans and signing autographs. As Christian said, she had an awesome presence on and off the stage. (Christian, I think I saw you and your friends in front of me, while I was waiting to talk to Nelly.) I think Nelly asked everyone how they found out about her. My answer was of course, "Joey." Thanks Joey! I had her sign the backs of three Nelly Furtado stickers... one for each of my girls and me. She was surprised that I had driven three hours to see her. Did or will anyone drive farther? If you do, make sure you tell her!

When I was leaving the Crocodile Cafe, two girls were standing outside making sure everyone had stickers. I said sure and took a couple more. (I will give them to potential fans.) I asked if they had had Nelly sign one for them. Their reply was that they were 19 so they couldn't even get in to the show. I told them I'd have Nelly autograph stickers for them and got their names - Michelle and Daniel. Anyway, I went in and told Nelly about them, she went out to talk to them. I think they were surprised that she would do that for them. This action lets us know that Nelly really does care. Thanks Nelly!

After seeing Nelly perform and talking with her, I have no doubts that Nelly Furtado will be a hit!

Well, if you read this long email, I'm impressed... I'll try and keep the messages shorter in the future. It's just not easy when talking about someone as great as Nelly Furtado.
