rock, blues-soul and a dash of country? not quite my usual mix, but there's something about her music that quickly appealed.  it's almost as if it has a 70's pop/rock singer/songwriter feel, yet sounds new at the same time.. delicately tuned to today's perspective.  perhaps that's where this latches onto me; childhood memories of records spinning in the background of my fun..  specifically, Carole King and her Tapestry instantly recalled; but this is definitely Shannon McNally with her Jukebox Sparrows.
